Beaches of Goa

Goa, a tiny emerald land on the west coast of India, became the 25th state of the Indian Union after liberation from Portuguese rule in 1961. Initially a part of the Union Territory of Goa, Daman & Diu, it gained separate statehood on May 30th, 1987. Goa’s primary allure lies in its uninterrupted string of golden-sand beaches, stretching along the Arabian Sea from tip to toe. Each beach community has cultivated its own distinct personality and reputation since the hippie days of the ’60s.

During my visit en route to Gokarna, I spent a day here, camping at Qees Beach Resort and exploring a bit of Calangute Beach and Anjuna Beach. Qees Empire Beach Resort, situated along the coastline, offers guests direct access to Calangute Beach. Here are a few views captured directly from my balcony.

Anjuna Beach, nestled along the coastline of Goa, offers a blend of natural beauty and bohemian charm. The beach’s iconic rocky cliffs, bordered by swaying palms and golden sands, create a picturesque backdrop for sun-seekers and adventure enthusiasts alike.
