Shravya’s Vodi Biyyam Event

Vodi Biyyam (Vodi means the womb, and Biyyam means rice grains) is a traditional ceremony performed for married couples in the Telugu states of south India. The ceremony starts before the marriage. After marriage, the ceremony is performed at least once every 5 years, wherein the parents or the brother(s) of the married woman invite all the relatives for the ceremonial celebration.

Here are beautiful glimpses of the Vodi Biyyam event held for my niece Shravya by her parents, Sharada and Suresh, among close friends and family in beautiful settings and with a beautiful theme.
