Today, we stopped at the Octopus viewpoint, which is located close to the dense Nallamalla Forest. We were enroute to Amrabad Tiger Reserve and Nagarjuna Sagar Tiger Reserve. Octopus viewpoint spectacular views backwaters of Krishna River (Srisailam Dam).

The Krishna River water which is spread between the hillocks looks like an Octopus in appearance, hence the name of the viewpoint. The viewpoint offers a bird’s eye view of the Krishna River and the adjoining forests having deep gorges and valleys, as seen from the below clips and pics
