Poovar is a small coastal village in the Trivandrum district of Kerala state, South India. This village is almost at the southern tip of Trivandrum and there is only one last village. Pozhiyoor which marks the end of Kerala. This village offers a beautiful beach and backwaters experience.  

Poovar backwater boat cruise is a 2-hr trip through Neyyar River, Backwaters rich with flora and fauna, lush green tree canopies, and coconut groves, with the final destination, a golden sand beach, which looks unspoiled and amazingly unexplored.
