Lake Ray Hubbard, Rockwall, TX

This Sunday, Shakti and his wife Pallavi, drove us to Lake Ray Hubbard. Lake Ray Hubbard is one of the largest lakes in north Texas spanning 22,000 acres. This recreational lake is known as a great spot for fishing, skiing, relaxing, and recreational boating. There are numerous parks located around the lake, nice beaches, hiking and biking trails, and other outdoor activities.

Despite being lived in Texas for more than a decade, and being a frequent traveler to DFW, I have never heard about this Lake and been here. It’s definitely a place to explore further and do some recreational boating for sure, in the upcoming trip. The lake is located east of Dallas (about 30 min from Downtown) in Rockwall county, on the East Fork of the Trinity River.  One of the most popular attractions at the lake is Rockwall Harbour. This waterfront entertainment center has great dining, shopping, live music, movies, walkways along the harbor, beautiful sunsets, and more.

Here are a few visuals from our visit
