Bodega Bay is a town in Sonoma County, California with a population of 1,077 as of 2010 census.  It is a shallow, rocky inlet of the Pacific Ocean on the coast of northern California in the United States. It is approximately located approximately 40 mi northwest of San Francisco  

Bodega Bay is a known as great spot for whale watching as it’s positioned along the annual gray whale migration route. One of the premier whale watching spots is the Bodega Head peninsula.  However, that was not the plan this weekend.  I just did a solo drive this weekend, but made couple of friends on the way, we jointly explored the area for few hours, and had lunch at the Rio Café.
