I had a chance to visit Bengaluru last Friday to deliver a Key Note at STEP-IN Testing Conference with the theme of “Testing in Digital Age”. It’s been a while since I spoke at testing conference in Bangalore, and catch up with brethren from testing community from all over the country. It is a like mini reunion and oscars event for us in testing word 🙂
Yes, it was a fulfilling experience delivering key note on the topic of Sentiment Analysis in Digital. I do believe that Digital business leadership can only be achieved by improving customer’s digital experience by blurring the digital and physical worlds. What makes digital business different from e-business is the presence and integration of things around us, both connected and intelligent, with people and their interaction with today’s Digital Enterprise’s business elements. Digital applications create a high-touch, high-value, highly personalized interaction for today Digital Enterprise’s most important customers in today’s times.
Poorly designed and tested Digital application can alienate Enterprise’s most important customers, thus negatively impacting it’s brand image, customer loyalty and associate revenue. This is often result of poor Customer UX experience, bad application performance, lack of data integrity and security, etc. During the session, I have discussed how exhaustive customer sentiment analysis coupled with quality engineering can help avoid these issues. Similar to my session at Aviation Conference in Miami (click the link for more details), I have used “Airlines” theme to convey my story on how sentiment analysis can be leveraged by today’s Digital Enterprises to improve Customer UX.
It was an humble experience sharing stage with Colony Prabir Sengupta who was awarded for exception leadership by President of India, Dr APJ Kalam and a seasoned professional with 34+ years of experience in leadership, management, business strategy, administration, recruitment and consultancy in Indian Army, IT, core sector and educational domain. He is also First Indian Army Officer on the TED platform as a speaker; TEDx IIM, Calcutta on Aug 24th, 2013 and also at TEDx Tezpur on Aug 14th, 2016. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpV5fVS8Nng).
Colonel also spoke on the topic of Brainics in the digital and received absolute standing ovation from the entire audience. It was a riveting speech where entire audience keenly listened to him. It’s been a long time, where I listened to someone without checking my mobile phone for 45 minutes. He spoke about USP of India, and how each of us can make a difference to this nation.
