Six years ago this week, I was in Pahalgam, with an hope of travelling to Holy Shrine, Amarnath Temple. Since I was with parents, we opted for helicopter ride. However, due to strong winds and usual terror threads, we could not get clearance to take off from the Helipad. We used the opportunity to chill out in Pahalgam, Jammu, and Gulmarg.
We took horseback ride to Pahalgam hill top which offers great views of valley, access to beautiful scenic views, hence place is known as mini Switzerland. Ride to the top was quite wild due to steep hills and was not fully assisted. Since horses were well trained, it was considered pretty safe.
Since I started blogging in 2012, pics from this trip did not make it to the blog. I used free time this weekend, to archive the pics into below blog.
