THE GRAND TRUNK ROAD (TGTR) is a new swanky ‘Dhabha’ opened in Madhapur, HiTech City in Hyderabad.  Dhabas at one time are popularly found only on Highways, serving primarily Punjabi Cuisine. Our family of 4 decided to dine on a weekday last week, at this place.  Aniketh was in mood for outdoor food, so I suggested this place.  It is not easy for all of us to agree on a place to eat.

I liked the night time ambience, and the feel of the place as soon as we entered the restaurant.  Menu was pretty exhaustive, with plenty of choices for Vegetarians.  We ordered our usual choice of items. I started with Tomato Shorba, and kids ordered Gobi Manchurian and Kababs.  We ordered Dal Makhani (which is almost always does not go wrong), Panner Butter Masala, Pulav Rice, and assorted Rotis for main course.

Verdict: I personally liked all we ordered, but kids and Radhika weren’t impressed with the quality.  However, we enjoyed family time on a week day.  Since I knew photos clicked at this place would be cool specially in the evening, I had a my 6D with me.  Here are few colourful pics from our outing.
