After Hindu published an article about migratory birds Flamingos spotted at Ameenpur Lake which is just 20 minutes from where I live, a friend of mine alerted about it. I no longer subscribe to any newspapers, so I wasn’t aware of it. Six of us friends (for about 30 years now) from JNTU planned for Birding and Breakfast event. We met in the morning at Karampodi (South Indian Restaurant) which just opened yesterday, and advertised for Dosa called “Sreemanthudu Dosa”, which is Dosa topped with super thin gold foil. We wanted to check it out this item too.
However, advertised Dosa wasn’t available. So, we settled for regular menu, and then drove to the lake. It was noon by the time we reached the lake, and it was super hot. We spent an hour, and captured Flamingos in action, gulped sugar cane juice served on a street bandi on the way to home, and concluded our long weekend. Below link has few pics from today’s events.
