World Culture Festival 2016

The World Culture Festival (WCF) 2016 is a celebration of The Art of Living’s 35 years of service, humanity, spirituality and human values. The festival celebrates the diversity in cultures from across the world while simultaneously highlighting our unity as a human family.

WCF was 3 day event held in New Delhi on the bank of Yamuna river. I spent just one night in Delhi to catch a glimpse of 3-day event, along with my 2 Kids ( Revanth Chintala and Aniketh Chintala) and my brother Ramesh Chintala). Radhika Chintala has already camped here for a week, as a volunteer and also performing yoga dance tomorrow. My nephew Manikanta Chintala has also performed today as part of dance crew from Orissa. It was told that over 3000 artists from 150 countries participates in various event, hence this event is touted as Cultural Olympics.

It was a great experience to be in the midst of so many like minded folks, serenaded by AOL Grand Orchestra consisting 8500 musicians on a 7-acre stage, entertained by over 37,000 talented artists from around the world, get some wisdom and knowledge from diverse spiritual leaders around the world (belonging to all possible regions and cultures, including Saudi, Syria, Pakistan, and more), and also to got to hear  LIVE some of the renowned political leaders (Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath, etc) from current BJP government too. Weather was awesome, and colours of the sky also looked beautiful.

Here is the 3-minute video powered by peppy WCF theme song, which documents our journey to once-in-a-lifetime event where you got serenaded by several 1000s of talented artists, got to sit around spiritual souls around the world, feel blissful in the midst of scores of devotes doing Guru Pooja. I wasn’t allowed to take the camera inside the video, so key footage is captured via HTC. My brother asked me to include 20 seconds of footage from Sri Sri’s channel which gives a glimpse of what happened on the stage.

  1. Very nice and uplifting!!! Especially after reading about – and viewing – the horrible persecutions of Christians in Orissa.

  2. Hi Sai,

i am a SKY teacher living in Dallas -Fort Worth, Texas. I see that you have such amazing pictures from the past WCF.

Would you be willing to share these images with us.

My brochure for WCF is being used as an example by the NTC so all other centers can develop their own brochure for WCF 2022-23.

We need good quality pictures and you seem to have them.

I am a professor at Texas christian University and also a SKY teacher.
My number is 817-307-5051 and my email id is shweta.reddy@artofliving.org.
